Fuse worked meticulously to deliver a 72-page brand “zine” to coincide with the official launch of Converse Skateboarding. The Cons Zine was not your standard action and interview model. Fuse worked with brand ambassadors, as well as the Cons’ skate team, to deliver an all-encompassing look at the new brand through the personalities, perspectives, and talents of those associated with Cons. Fuse worked to feature rider-created assets as well as develop ambassador-specific content from writers, artists, illustrators, and photographers in order to bring each unique personality to life.
Fuse worked with Converse to develop all the editorial, design, layout, and art direction, and was responsible for managing the production and distribution of the final printed piece. The zine was produced by the utmost in production standards and was released domestically and internationally in limited quantities. In the inaugural issue, three different color paper stocks were used in two weights, with four unique screen printed covers.
