Amazon partnered with Fuse to drive business with college students
Amazon sought to reach college students with its Prime Student offering of free two-day shipping, unlimited streaming of movies and TV shows, access to Prime Music, and unlimited photo storage.
Fuse’s solution included a social media and brand ambassador strategy. The social strategy engaged college students with tailored content on Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter and Tumblr. Based on continuous data analysis, Fuse created and deployed content that included an effective mix of both college lifestyle content and Prime Student brand messaging.
Integrated with the social strategy, Fuse built one of the largest college brand ambassador programs in the U.S. Fuse recruited, hired, on-boarded, and managed approximately 500 brand ambassadors on over 250 campuses nationwide during semester-long or back-to-school programs. In addition to managing the events and daily consumer engagements for which the brand ambassadors are responsible, Fuse managed the large-scale promotional items, collateral, and fulfillment aspects of the program.
Fuse tripled the social engagements, nearly doubled the reach of the social program, while supporting the acquisition of new Prime Student members. While detailed member sign-up data is confidential, new member sign-up goals were achieved far ahead of schedule.
